The Art of conducting Art

This triple issue of Maska launched articles on performances (Farič’s Labodje jezero, the debutant Muzeuma by Barbara Novakovič, the Pograjc’s version of Koltes’s Roberto Zucco in SMG, the Hrvatin’s Novi organon). In the Authorial Series, articles were published on the Frankfurt ballet, the third generation of theatre people, the Anglo-American phenomenon entitled STOMP (we hadn’t seen them in Ljubljana until 2001). In the Living Classics, Emil Hrvatin wrote about Pina Bausch.

The theme section entitled The Art of Conducting Art is a transcription of talks from Radio Študent from April until June 1994 with the topic of artistic production and cultural politics. The participants were: Eda Čufer, Blaž Lukan, Simon Kardum, Emil Hrvatin, Tomaž Toporišič, Vasja Predan, Dragan Živadinov, Matjaž Potokar, Andrej Drapal, Marko Košnik, Marko Peljhan, Špela Virant, Lado Kralj, Albert Kos, Igor Lampret, Sergij Peljhan, Jože Osterman.
