1. SEMINAR OF CONTEMPORARY PERFORMING ARTS
The Seminar of Contemporary Performing Arts focuses on the combination of theoretical and practical education, which pays special attention to the modes of contemporary art production and contemporary politics of performing. It offers a high quality international model of education, which continuously connects art production with knowledge from the field of contemporary theory of art, twentieth century artistic practice and philosophy of art. This tight connectedness enables the studies of performing arts to be placed into the centre of contemporary cultural, societal and aesthetical currents and critical attention to be opened up to different connections of artistic and theoretical methodologies of dissemination, production and contemporary politics of aesthetics. The Seminar of Contemporary Performing Arts is created as a series of host lectures by distinguished international lecturers and as a series of practical workshops under the leadership of acknowledged international artists. Mentored work on a project, which supplements the contents of the lectures and workshops, continues during the whole year. Each year the seminar focuses on a certain topic, which connects with the re-examining of methodologies and politics of contemporary work of art.
2. COACHING
Maska Education program is since 2005 enforced by coaching as a Practical Dramaturgic Consultant Workshop. Coaching was presented as a form of educational process for performing artists (dancers, actors, and choreographers) and directors in Slovenian space for the first time. The whole project was supported by international network Theorem. That kind of coaching structure was established in cooperation with Maska (Ljubljana), Frakcija (Zagreb) and Teorija koja hoda (Belgrade). As a new form of artistic education and welcoming tool for creating performances coaching was very well accepted among Slovenian performing artists.
